Rally Hebrides 2011 Presentation.

Enthusiats Raise cash for Cancer Charity

Earlier this month the current Lewis Car Club Committee finilised the presentation to Macmillan Cancer Research for Rally Hebrides 2011, while it was very late in being presented, the recieving charity were very grateful.A special mention must go to: David Macleod, Bardon Hebrides Angus Mackay, Angus Mackay & Sons – Plant Hire Duncan Mackay & Sons, Unfortunatley they were unable to attend the presentation. Without the assistance recieved from these companies Rally Hebrides would not have been as sucessfull as it was.

Press Release, as Published…. Lewis Car Club recently presented a cheque for £10,674 to representatives of the Western Isles Fundraising Committee of Macmillan Cancer Support raised at Rally Hebrides 2011. Rally Hebrides has established itself within the Scottish rallying calendar as an event savoured by all the participating drivers and spectators alike. Preparations are now revving up for the fifth Rally Hebrides which this year will take place on Saturday 18 August. The 2012 rally will take a similar format to last year, although the organisers have had to take into account the new housing near the Melbost Farm stage and the ongoing works around Lews Castle in the Castle Grounds. Lewis Car Club is also pleased that once again funds raised through the Rally in 2012 will go towards supporting Macmillan Cancer Support in the islands.
