RALLY POSTER2016 final 27.7-page-001

Returning for 2016, Lewis Car Club will be running the 9th Rally Hebrides in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support, aiming to add to the already large sum raised by our previous events, the total raised now standing in excess of £100,000

This year’s program with Stage and Spectator info, plus driver interviews, is included FREE with every copy of the Events paper.

For the latest updates and information, check out the Rally Hebrides Facebook page.

We rely upon a small team of Marshals to keep this event running, if you want to help out and get more involved with motorsport then please visit the Marshals Page.

If you’ve never been to Rally Hebrides before, you’re missing out! To give you an idea of what’s on offer, here’s a video from last year’s event, with huge thanks to the guys at Quantic Media:

This year’s event takes place on the 19th and 20th August, comprising of 7 Special Stages at 4 locations on the Saturday, plus 3 runs of the popular Castle Grounds stage on the Friday evening.

Stages Overview

Our event is a non-competitive demonstration rally geared towards the maximum enjoyment of Drivers and Spectators, all whilst raising money for a very worthwhile cause.

Spectator ticket options are either £5 per stage at the gates, or alternatively £15 for a full weekend band. Under 16’s are free, but will need to be accompanied by an adult, and still need a ticket.

Tickets are available from our shop on Cromwell Street, next to the Tourist Information office, opposite the wee Co-Op, open every day from 11 AM.
Rally Hebrides clothing is also available, and the opportunity to win 2 very special items!

The first item up for grabs is a photograph signed by the 3 times World Rally Champion Sébastien Ogier (kindly donated by Angus Morrison of the Morrison Rally Team). This is being sold by Bonus Ball, £20 a number, aiming to be drawn on the weekend of Rally Hebrides, an amazing price for an amazing piece.

Second, the chance to win 2 World Rally tickets to the Wales Rally GB, plus £350 cash towards travel and accommodation! £10 per entry, to be drawn at the post-rally dinner/auction.

To help ensure the smooth running and safety of the event, last year we trialed a Park and Ride bus service for Spectators, leaving Creed Park in the morning and returning there for the final stage of the day. Following this successful trial, we will again be running the Park and Ride buses on the Saturday, dropping off and collecting from the designated Spectator Viewing Areas in each stage.

We are asking for a minimum donation of £3 per seat for this full day service with all proceeds adding to Macmillan Cancer Support’s total; tickets are available in advance at the rally shop, we need numbers to know how many buses we have to find!

The buses will be leaving from the Creed Enterpise Park, Stornoway, HS2 9JN, at 6:45 AM Saturday.

For more information, visit the Park and Ride page.

The importance of staying in the dedicated Spectator Viewing Areas cannot be emphasised enough, they are designed for your safety, to minimise the inherent risk associated with spectating at a motorsport event. Therefore we ask that you PLEASE stay in these areas, and follow the instructions of our Marshals who will be posted to these areas.

It is strongly recommended to use the bus service available, but alternatively each stage has a Viewing Area that you can come and go from throughout the stage.

Below are the Stage Maps, with each viewing area highlighted.

Additional Spectator Information:

Changeable weather conditions and midges are always a possibility at Rally Hebrides, so it is strongly recommended that spectators bring rain gear and nets/repellent; additionally, wear sturdy shoes, as the viewing areas are on soft ground. Food and toilet facilities will only be available at certain stages, so it is also advisable to take a bite to eat.

Spectator safety receives a huge amount of attention on our part, but it also requires those attending the event to keep themselves safe. It’s recommended to take 5 minutes to watch the following videos on spectator safety:
